MEDIA ADVISORY: “Environmental Toxins and Offspring Health: What Pregnant Women Should Know” is focus of MU Saturday Morning Science Lecture

WHAT:  This week’s Saturday Morning Science discussion at the University of Missouri features Cheryl Rosenfeld, whose topic is, “Environmental toxins and offspring health: what pregnant women should know.”

Rosenfeld will discuss how a mother’s exposure to environmental toxins can manipulate gene expression and lead to disease in offspring.

Saturday Morning Science is a weekly series of lectures on scientific topics. No science background is required to attend, just an interest in science and the topic.

WHO:  Cheryl Rosenfeld, associate professor of veterinary biomedical sciences in the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine
