MEDIA ADVISORY: Renowned Evolutionary Biologist Joan Strassmann to Speak on the Evolution of Cooperation at MU’s Saturday Morning Science

WHAT: This Saturday, renowned evolutionary biologist Joan Strassmann of Washington University, St. Louis, will present a lecture on how cooperation can prosper in the face of evolutionary conflicts. In her talk “Life’s Biggest Mystery: What Makes up an Organism?” she will share what she learned from her research on social microbes and insects about the role of cooperation in the evolution of multicellular organisms.

WHO: Joan E. Strassmann is an evolutionary biologist and the Charles Rebstock Professor of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. She was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2013.
