MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Scientists Set to Speak Science in Springfield

WHAT: As part of the “Science Talks to You” series, researchers and science administrators from the University of Missouri will visit with the general public and elementary and high school students in Springfield to discuss how science research from MU impacts their lives. The theme of this visit is “Alternative Energy Sources.”
Mizzou scientists will speak at several locations, including the Springfield public library, Kickapoo High School and the Discovery Center over two days.
WHO: Speakers include:
- Rob Duncan, MU vice chancellor for research
- Anna Waldron, director of the Office of Science Outreach at MU
- Judy Wall, professor of biochemistry in the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
