Fraternity Temporarily Suspended Following Racial Incident

COLUMBIA, Mo. —University of Missouri officials announced today that the Delta Upsilon fraternity has been temporarily suspended following an incident during which racial slurs were allegedly used by some members of the fraternity. Since the beginning of the semester, the fraternity has been cited for other violations, including alcohol violations.
A fraternity on temporary suspension cannot use university facilities nor can the organization participate in campus activities, including Homecoming and social events, according to UM Collected Rules and Regulations 200.020.
