Mizzou officials today are removing five pin oak trees on the historic Francis Quadrangle in an effort to keep pedestrians safe from falling limbs. Pin oaks shed their limbs as they age, creating significant safety hazards.
Mizzou officials announced today that they will be removing older pin oak trees from Francis Quadrangle. A group of faculty and staff experts, along with arborists from outside the campus, are working on a tree replacement plan to maintain the historic look of the Quad.
