MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Will Partner with Moberly Area Community College To Help Ease Transfer for Students

WHAT: Officials from the University of Missouri and Moberly Area Community College (MACC) will sign an agreement to help facilitate transfer for MACC students during the “Mizzou Connection” program signing ceremony.

The goal of the “Mizzou Connection” program is to strengthen the relationship between MACC and MU, encourage more MACC students to realize that it is possible to transfer to MU, provide improved academic advising for better assurance of credit transfer, and encourage students to get involved on campus, therefore increasing the likelihood of their success after transfer.

  • Brian Foster, MU provost
  • Evelyn Jorgenson, MACC president
  • Terry Barnes, MU assistant provost for community college partnerships
