MEDIA ADVISORY: Future of College Access Explored at MU Conference

WHAT:  The University of Missouri Division of Enrollment Management and the Missouri Department of Higher Education will host Focus On Missouri: A Dialogue on Barriers, Strategies and the Future of College Access. Key stakeholders will talk about the barriers and strategies for college access. Participants will discuss building a roadmap to increase the college-going culture and college readiness among underrepresented minorities, low-income and first-generation students in Missouri.

The conference will feature large-group sessions, interactive workshops and roundtable discussions as well as a “Show Me Access Gallery,” a showcase of access providers and their best practices around the state.

WHO:  Discussions will include access providers, secondary and post-secondary educators, administrators, policymakers, and researchers.

WHERE: Memorial Union, MU Campus
