MEDIA ADVISORY: Challenges in the Stem Cell Therapy Research Topic of Saturday Science Lecture at MU

WHAT: Stem cell therapy researchers have faced a number of regulatory, political and cultural challenges throughout the past several years. As an active stem cell researcher and the former chief scientific officer for the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine, the state’s stem cell agency, Marie Csete knows firsthand the challenges to moving stem cell therapy research from the lab to the clinic. At the next University of Missouri’s Saturday Morning Science series, Csete will discuss the challenges of stem cell research and share examples of successful and unsuccessful clinical trials with stem cells.
Saturday Morning Science lectures require no scientific background or knowledge to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
