WHAT: The Mizzou Alumni Association invites the Columbia community to participate in the 101st Homecoming celebration this weekend. This year’s theme, “Many Tigers, One Roar,” provides a unified message that marks the beginning of a new era as the University of Missouri celebrates its first Homecoming as a member of the Southeastern Conference.
The Homecoming celebration kicked off last week, when 305 MU students and alumni from 21 alumni organizations participated in a day of service. During the four-day Mizzou Blood Drive, MU students collected more than 4,600 units of blood. Traditional Homecoming activities for this weekend include Campus Decorations, a free pancake breakfast, a Mizzou Spirit Rally with Marching Mizzou and MU Spirit Squads, a concert featuring national performing artist “Imagine Dragons” and the 101st anniversary Homecoming Parade.
