MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Honor American Service Men and Women on Veterans Day

WHAT: The University of Missouri will join the National Roll Call project, a movement that allows colleges and universities across the nation to honor American service men and women with a simultaneous moment of silence on Veterans Day (observed), for a second straight year. The ceremony at MU will honor every fallen soldier from Missouri.

“We want to rally campus communities across the nation to send a message to the troops currently serving that we, as a national body of students, have not forgotten their sacrifices, nor those of their fallen brethren,” said Lt. Col. Brett Morris, the National Roll Call coordinator.

The Remembrance Day National Roll Call is sponsored nationally by the Veterans Knowledge Community of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
