MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Law School to Host Economic Discussion with Former Governor of the Federal Reserve System

WHAT: The University of Missouri School of Law will host a discussion with Randy Kroszner, professor of economics at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and former governor of the Federal Reserve System, on the lessons learned from the past financial crisis.

Kroszner served as governor of the Federal Reserve from March 2006 to January 2009. He will discuss whether the regulatory changes put in place as a response to the financial crisis are more likely to prevent or increase the likelihood of another crisis occurring.

Kroszner’s talk is part of the MU Liberty & Justice Colloquium. The Colloquium sponsors discussions and symposia to promote intellectual dialogue on current events and public policy from a variety of academic perspectives.
