MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Host Sixth Annual Distinguished Lecture on Religion and Public Life

WHAT: The MU Department of Religious Studies will host the sixth annual Distinguished Lecture on Religion and Public Life on April 28. Guest speaker Edward Linenthal, professor of history at Indiana University, will present his lecture, “The Predicament of Aftermath: Oklahoma City and 9/11.” A reception will follow the presentation.

The annual lecture is hosted by the MU Department of Religious Studies and the Rufus Monroe and Sofie Hougaard Paine Lectures in Religion. Monroe-Paine lectures feature  distinguished scholars who present on topics of relevance for the general public as well as religion scholars.
