MEDIA ADVISORY: MU School of Law to Host Symposium on Judicial Education and the Art of Judging

WHAT: The MU School of Law will host a judicial education symposium, featuring Judge Duane Benton of the Eighth Circuit federal Court of Appeals as the keynote speaker. The symposium also will include several panel discussions featuring Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Mary Russell and federal district court Judge Jeremy Fogel, who is director of the Federal Judicial Center. Judicial education experts from Australia, Canada and the United States also will serve on the panels.

Sponsors include the University of Missouri International Center and the University of Missouri Transatlantic Center, with additional support from the Office of the Vice Provost for International Programs.

WHEN: 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10

WHERE: Panels will be held in the Courtroom in Hulston Hall, MU campus
