MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Host Celebrate Ability Week

WHAT: The University of Missouri Disability Center will host its annual “Celebrate Ability Week” in honor of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Throughout the week, MU will host events and programs that celebrate disability rights, awareness and culture, including the first annual Lee Henson Access Mizzou Awards reception where faculty, students and staff who are making a difference for people living with disabilities will be honored. The event also will include an interactive multimedia exhibit intended to help students better understand what it is like to live with a disability.
WHO: Students, faculty and members of the MU community are invited to attend.
