MEDIA ADVISORY: MU School of Law to Host Inaugural Veterans Clinic Symposium on Veterans Day

WHAT: The Veterans Clinic at the University of Missouri School of Law will host a symposium, “Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Military Sexual Trauma Issues in Veterans Disability Cases: New Cases and Practical Tips,” that will feature professionals knowledgeable in veterans’ issues such as PTSD and MST. These professionals will discuss their views on PTSD and MST and suggest methods to change the growing suicide rate among veterans.
WHO: Keynote Speaker:
Lt. Gen. Richard C. Harding, former leader of the Judge Advocate General Corps of the United States Air Force, the highest-ranking attorney in the Air Force, will discuss, “Representing Service Victims.”
Panelists include:
Michael W. Bradley, associate circuit judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Missouri
A.E. Daniel, psychiatrist at Daniel Forensic Psychiatric Services
Ryan G. Gill, student legislative representative at the MU Student Veterans Association
Timothy C. Harlan, partner in the law firm, Harlan, Harlan & Still
Amy Odom, director of ligation for the National Veterans Legal Services Program
Grant O’Neal, PTSD clinical team leader and MST coordinator at the Truman VA Medical Center
Maj. Evan Seamore, prosecuting attorney with the Office of Chief Prosecutor of Military Commissions

At 11:45, the symposium will adjourn for the University’s Laying of the Wreath ceremony near Memorial Union on the MU campus.
