Calendar Item: MU to Host Presentation on Diversity and Inclusion

WHAT: Benjamin Reese, vice president of the Office for Institutional Equity at Duke University, will be presenting “Implicit Bias in the Academy,” April 4 on the University of Missouri Campus.

Reese is a clinical psychologist with more than 40 years’ of experience in the field of race relations, with areas of specialization in implicit bias, diversity and inclusion training, conflict resolution and cross-cultural communication. At Duke University, he is responsible for diversity and inclusion, affirmative action and equal opportunity, harassment and discrimination prevention, and complaint handling for faculty and staff for Duke’s undergraduate campus, the 10 graduate and professional schools, institutes, and centers, and a health system composed of three hospitals and outpatient clinics.

Reese will present two sessions at Mizzou.

Session I: 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Session II: 1 p.m.–3 p.m.
