MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Host Cyberinfrastructure Day
Speakers will include FBI security experts discussing cybersecurity and industry leaders discussing how technology and communication methods have changed in the past four decades

WHAT: The Cyberinfrastructure Council will hold its third annual Cyberinfrastructure Day at the University of Missouri on Wednesday, April 13. This year’s theme is Collaboration: The Future of Research and will feature topics such as cybersecurity, bioinformatics, digital humanities and geospatial science.
WHO: Speakers include:
Seth Colaner, news director at Tom’s Hardware will present, “The Present and Future of Collaboration: Better Together, Further Apart.” He will explore communication and how technology has affected it.
Stephen Bergeman and Tom Crawford of the FBI, will present, “Cyber Threats and Protecting Intellectual Property.” Bergeman and Crawford will discuss how criminals target classified information in institutions of higher education.
