MEDIA ADVISORY: ‘Mizzou Mile’ Run to Serve as Rallying Cry for the Entire Community

May 6th, 2017

Story Contact: Nathan Hurst, 573-882-6217,

WHAT: Celebrating diversity by bringing people together is the main goal of the first ‘Principles of Community’ Mile Run. Following the race there will be food, post-race activities and awards presented to the first-, second- and third-place finishers in each age group, as well as the overall fastest male and female runner.

The cost:

  • $5 for Mizzou faculty, staff and students
  • $10 for anyone not affiliated with Mizzou
