MEDIA ADVISORY: Mizzou and KC Scholars to announce major multi-million dollar partnership benefitting future Tigers

WHAT: An announcement regarding a significant, multi-million dollar investment in students from the Kansas City area interested in attending the University of Missouri. This announcement will reflect a commitment of the UM System’s Promise and Opportunity Scholarships program.

WHO: Speakers include:

 Daniel Clemens, North Kansas City superintendent

 MU Chancellor Alexander N. Cartwright

 Beth Tankersley-Bankhead, president and CEO of KC Scholars

 Ryan Rapp, UM System vice president for finance

Please note that the south portion of the school campus is under construction and media should park and enter from the north side, E. 26th Avenue.

NOTE: Select speakers will be available for interviews following the announcement.

Media may park in the circle drive just off of E. 26th Avenue, just west of the football field. There is a full flight of stairs to get to the gym through the nearest entrance, but an elevator can be accessed at the front entrance of the building if needed.
