MEDIA ADVISORY: Distinguished Leaders in Higher Education Lecture Series to feature internationally known scholar

WHAT: To mark the launch of Distinguished Leaders in Higher Education Lecture Series, the University of Missouri is hosting University of Buffalo President Satish Tripathi, who will discuss “University Transformation and the Renaissance of a City.”
The series aims to bring industry leaders to Columbia to discuss issues within higher education in light of their own personal experiences. The public is invited to attend the series.
WHO: Tripathi has led the University at Buffalo for almost nine years. The university is one of two members of the Association of American Universities in the New York State. With a doctoral degree in computer science and three master’s degrees (one in computer science and two in statistics), Tripathi taught for 19 years before becoming an active leader in higher education. He has made significant strides in improving student success.
