COLUMBIA, Mo. – First, let me offer my apologies for not being able to attend today’s announcement, as a previously scheduled American Association of Universities (AAU) meeting required me to be in Washington, D.C. today.

This is an exciting day for the University of Missouri and especially for our men’s basketball program. On behalf of all Tigers, let me extend a warm welcome back to Kim, Melissa, and Ryan. Also, we are proud that Kim’s other son, Brett, is completing his studies at MU and, as I understand, will graduate next month from Mizzou. Congratulations!

Kim is a proven winner. He is a perfect fit for Mizzou. He is a positive reflection of who we are, now and into the future. He is a man of character and integrity.

He will recruit elite student-athletes who will bring championships to Mizzou and earn their degrees while representing all of us with pride.  The future is very bright with Kim at the helm of our men’s basketball program.
