University of Missouri among Select Universities to Offer Prestigious Stamps Scholars Program
Scholarship offers 4-year, full-ride award plus academic and professional development funds to 5 incoming Mizzou freshmen

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri has recently been chosen as a partner by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation to recognize and reward five exceptional incoming Mizzou students who exemplify leadership, scholarship and service with full scholarships.
“We are honored that the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation chose to partner with Mizzou along with nearly 40 other schools across the country to help make these scholarships available,” said MU Interim Chancellor Hank Foley. “The caliber of the students who will qualify for these scholarship will be among the very best, and we will be proud to welcome them to Mizzou this fall.”
The scholarships will cover the full cost of attendance for four years plus a generous enrichment fund of $16,000 per student in academic and professional development funds to be used over a scholar’s undergraduate experience to enhance their academic and leadership development. The students will be members of the Honors College, participate in academic and co-curricular opportunities and programming of the university, have a dedicated mentor and participate in travel-study experiences.
Eligibility for the scholarship includes at least a 32 ACT score, a 3.5 or better core GPA and admittance to the University of Missouri by Dec. 1 and Honors College by Dec. 15. A total of five scholarships at Mizzou will be awarded to in-state and out-of-state students.
“We are proud to foster a national community of prestigious colleges and universities that offer such a high-caliber scholarship to the brightest minds across the country,” said Randy McDow, executive director of the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation. “We have nearly 1,000 Stamps Scholars in universities across the country, many of whom also are recipients of other prestigious awards, including Rhodes, Fulbright, Goldwater, Marshall and National Science Foundation scholarships and fellowships.”
The Stamps Scholars Program was started by Penny and Roe Stamps in 2006 at their alma maters—The University of Michigan and Georgia Tech. The Stamps Family Charitable Foundation provides a generous multiyear commitment for the scholarships with Mizzou providing matching funds.
