December 16th, 2016
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Commencement ceremonies at the University of Missouri will be held as scheduled; however, MU officials urge students, parents and the public to be cautious as they travel around campus.
MU officials have received reports of slick spots on roads and sidewalks due to freezing drizzle. Crews are treating the affected areas, but several slick spots remain. Everyone is encouraged to take proper precautions, check weather forecasts and road conditions before deciding to travel, and use appropriate winter footwear while walking on campus.
Additionally, residential halls will remain open through 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 17 to allow students to stay overnight and avoid traveling.
