MU delays start for Monday, Nov. 26 until noon
November 26th, 2018
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Due to the winter weather, University of Missouri officials have announced that the campus will delay full operations, including classes, until noon, Monday, Nov. 26. Only employees that are situationally critical should report for work prior to noon.
“With the current weather conditions, we are concerned about the safety of our faculty, staff and students,” said Gary Ward, vice chancellor for operations. “Delaying the start of full operations until noon will give us the extra time that our crews need to make sure campus is ready.”
All MU Health Care hospitals and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital will remain open 24/7. Campus dining will remain on regular hours. For more information on MU Health Care, please visit http://www.muhealth.org/.
Employees who are unsure of their status as to whether or not they are situationally critical should contact their supervisor. More information on MU’s campus closure policies can be found at the below links:
Employees and students are expected to exercise judgment regarding their ability to travel safely to campus when inclement weather is in the area. They are not expected to place travel for work or class attendance above considerations for individual health and safety.
