The race is open to individuals, families, organizations and corporate organizations. All registration fees and sponsorships will be donated to the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. At least two people must row their boat around a triangular course.

Prizes will be given to teams who place first in the race, have the best decorated boat, and have the most unusual use of cardboard. There also will be the Titanic Award given to the boat that sinks the best. Local Columbia celebrities will serve as judges for the event.
