WHAT: The Digital Publishing Alliance (DPA), a project of the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI), will hold a symposium on the money-making potential of the Apple iPad and the array of E-Reader models that will be on the market this year.
“The iPad and the rising demand for E-Readers show that digital publishing is no longer the future,” said Roger Fidler, DPA director. “It is today’s reality.”
DPA brings leading publishers, advertisers and product developers together to help develop strategies and industry standards for digital alternatives to hardcopy newspapers.
WHO: Roger Fidler and Sean Reily, a Reynolds Journalism Fellow, will host DPA members, including representatives from The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today and more than 30 other media and technology organizations.
