MEDIA ADVISORY:MU Architecture Students to Present Columbia Airport Designs

WHAT: Senior students in the department of architectural studies at the University of Missouri will present their design projects for the Columbia Regional Airport terminal. Members of the Columbia City Council and Columbia airport board will be present to view the designs and consider them for the future master plan of the airport. The students are in the capstone course taught by Benyamin Schwarz, professor of architecture at the University of Missouri in the College of Human Environmental Sciences.

“The presentation will be a crescendo of the hard work these students have done,” Schwarz said. “These ideas are very doable. If the City of Columbia chooses to use any of them, they are very attainable and accessible.”
