MEDIA ADVISORY: New Agreements to Be Signed at MU that Support Local and State Economic Activity

WHAT: A financial agreement and two letters of intent will be signed by representatives from the University of Missouri; the city of Columbia; Nanova, Inc., a company based on research from MU; and Wujin, a technology industrial district in China. Officials from Nanova will sign an investment agreement to support commercialization of new technology, providing an important investment in the regional economy.

- Bin Zhou, director of the Wujin District in China
- MU Deputy Chancellor Mike Middleton
- Hao Li, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at MU

NOTE: Nanova, Inc, is a company based on the research of Hao Li and Qingsong Yu, both associate professors of mechanical and aerospace engineering; and Meng Chen, chief scientist from Nanova. Currently, the scientists are working on a dental instrument that can disinfect and clean cavities for fillings in less than 30 seconds with no side effects.
