MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Sponsor Entrepreneurial Growth Workshop

WHAT: The MU Office of Technology Management and Industry Relations is sponsoring “Grassroots Entrepreneurs,” a series of workshops to strengthen Columbia’s entrepreneurial community. Targeted to entrepreneurs who are starting companies, the event will feature hands-on experience for attendees who wish to be a part of new innovation. Representatives from three startup companies will be discussing how to overcome challenges and the problem-solving skills needed to have a successful startup company.

The event is co-sponsored by the MU student entrepreneurial organization, CLIMB, the Missouri Innovation Center and the Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Centers

WHO: MU faculty, staff, students and the general public

WHERE: Life Science Incubator, Missouri Innovation Center, 1601 S. Providence Road

WHEN: 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 20  

NOTE: This event is free and open to the public. Pizza will be provided for attendees.
