MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Kicks Off New Civility Campaign with Lecture

WHAT: University of Missouri officials will host a lecture and book signing featuring P.M. Forni, author of Choosing Civility: The Twenty-Five Rules of Considerate Conduct. Forni’s lecture, “Life is a Relational Experience: Civility in the Age of Google,” will discuss how to demonstrate civility in the age of the Internet.
The event is sponsored by the MU Office of the Provost and the Chancellor’s Diversity Initiative, which strives to expand opportunities for faculty, students and staff to thrive in an increasingly diverse environment. Forni’s lecture is one of several activities leading up to the formal announcement of MU’s Show Me Respect campaign, which has been designed to foster a culture of civility across the university community.
