MEDIA ADVISORY: MU to Host Educational Adventure for Elementary Students

WHAT: Students from the University of Missouri Graduate School will host “Mizzou Adventures in Graduate Education,” an interactive event for elementary students who are interested in exploring scientific and creative arts fields. The event is part of Graduate Education Week, during which the Columbia community is invited to learn how teaching, research, educational outreach and volunteer service are involved when obtaining an advanced degree.
More than 30 activity booths will offer kids experience in art, bats, bugs, plants, science experiments, engineering, health, physics, money, computers, microscopes, voting, farm animals and more. Tiger Stripe ice cream will be free for the first 300 participants.
WHO: Families with children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade.
