MEDIA ADVISORY: Distinguished Psychologist to Present on Diversity in Higher Education at University of Missouri

WHAT: Joseph L. White, Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine, will present “The Browning of America: Implications for Diversity in Higher Education” at the University of Missouri.

WHO: A pioneer in the field of Black psychology, White has received numerous awards, including a Presidential Citation from the American Psychological Association for his distinguished career as a practicing psychologist devoted to social justice and committed to racial, gender and cultural equality.

White has worked in the fields of psychology and mental health as a teacher, mentor, administrator, clinical supervisor, writer, consultant and clinical psychologist.

NOTE: A reception will follow the presentation at 7:45 p.m. in Jesse Hall Rotunda.
