WHAT: University of Missouri Officials will host MU’s Cyberinfrastructure (CI) Day. The theme of this year’s conference is “Leveraging Shared Resources for Innovation and Discovery.” This event is part of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
CI Day offers practical information on resources, services and emerging technologies. Attendees will discuss issues concerning the use of advanced computing in research and MU’s cyberinfrastructure.
WHO: CI Day is open to faculty, research scientists, students and any research support staff who use computing technologies for research.
Speakers at the event include:
- Gary Allen, vice president of information technology, UM System and chief information officer at MU
- Irene M. Quarters, division director of advanced cyberinfrastructure (ACI) at the National Science Foundation in Arlington, VA
- Mark McIntosh, UM vice president for research and economic development and MU vice chancellor for research, graduate studies and economic development
