MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Celebrates 109th Engineering Week

WHAT: Engineering Week has been an MU tradition since 1903. This year, students, faculty and alumni of the University of Missouri College of Engineering will celebrate the event for the 109th time.
Engineering Week includes daily events beginning with lighting Jesse Hall’s dome green. Other featured events include a professional conference on the connection between science and politics in the 21st century and a charity race to benefit multiple sclerosis research.
Other Engineering Week events include karaoke night, quiz bowl tournament and hot dog banquet. At the end of the week, the college will crown a king and queen and ceremoniously “knight” all graduating seniors.
