Media Advisory: MU Ceremony to Celebrate Completion of Lafferre Hall Renovations

WHAT: The University of Missouri’s College of Engineering will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completed renovation of Lafferre Hall. On Oct. 16, 2014, Governor Jay Nixon toured Lafferre and approved the state’s issuance of $38.5 million for renovations to the 1935 and 1944 sections of the building; this event marks the completion of those repairs.

Speakers will include:

  • Governor Jay Nixon
  • UM System Interim President Mike Middleton
  • MU Interim Chancellor Hank Foley
  • Elizabeth Loboa, dean MU College of Engineering

WHERE: C1205 and C1206 Thomas and Nell Lafferre Hall, MU Campus

WHEN: 11 a.m., Thursday, December 15

WHO: All faculty, staff, students, alumni and donors are welcome to attend.

NOTE: Following the ceremony, participants will be invited to tour the newly renovated hall.
