Google News posted a story on October 7, 2007, that actually ran in The Nashville City Paper in April, 2004. The story names finalists for the position of president of the University of Tennessee and includes Brady Deaton, at the time Provost of the University of Missouri Columbia. The University has received calls from some individuals who have not realized this story is several years old.  Dr. Deaton now proudly leads Mizzou as Chancellor and is not a candidate for any position.
