MUPD Arrests Four for Vandalism in Virginia Avenue Garage

COLUMBIA, Mo. — University of Missouri police officers arrested four individuals for vandalizing 40 vehicles in Virginia Avenue Garage on the MU Campus during the weekend.

Tyler Eckert (DOB July 26, 1988), was arrested on two felony charges of tampering in the first degree, and two misdemeanor charges of tampering in the second degree.

Zachary Wayhart (DOB Dec. 15, 1988), Matthew Feldewerth (DOB May 16, 1988) and James Young (DOB Dec. 29, 1988) were given summons for minor by consumption.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m., Feb. 3. MU police officers are still investigating the incident. Anyone with questions or information is asked to contact the MUPD at 882-7201.
